Our colleagues (festival director György Demarcsek, festival secretary Attila Ugyan – and festival secretary Annamari Bán, who is not our colleague :)) were the main organizers of the 9th Nyírség International Folk Dance Festival, which this year hosted 20 programs with 11 performing groups, 300 dancers, 50 musicians and singers to bring cheerful music, songs and dance to our city.
The venues of the programs were Kossuth Square, the Mihály Váci Cultural Center, the Open-Air Stage and the Festival Club.
To the great delight of the children, our youth groups (Lókötő Dance Ensemble, Topogó Dance Ensemble, Ispiláng Dance Ensemble) also performed at the festival, and with their enthusiastic and passionate volunteer work they helped the organizers as well.
Congratulations to the organizers and the kids too, we are very proud of them.
